First focal plane design allows you to fully utilize specially designed reticles that shrink or grow along with your target as you zoom in or out. These reticles offer quick target engagement at low power while offering precise holdover positions with finer details.

Locking Turrets feature on both elevation and windage turrets allows you to simply pull up the turrets to dial and push down the turrets to lock them in place. This feature gives you a peaceful mind whether you are moving from one station to next during your competition or putting them away for your next hunting trip.

The illuminated reticle provides greater visibility during dusk and dawn and other low ambient light environment.

Reticle etched on the glass that provides excellent backing support for complex reticle design and offers great durability and much higher shock resistance to recoil

Fully Multicoated optics effectively reduces reflected light and increases the transmission of light giving you a brighter image than normal single coated lenses

The 6061T6 aircraft grade aluminum tube that has exceptional strength and superior mechanical integrity will protect these world class optics no matter what punishment you throw at it.

Heat treated one-piece tube gives the scope extra strength over multi-piece tubes. A one-piece tube also is better at keeping moisture out thus keeping your scope fog proof for the life of the product

Helos Gen 2 (6-24X56 and 4-20X50)

I own the 6-24X56 (Bergara B14R - 22) and the 4-20X50 (6mm Arc Gas Gun) version. The glass quality is excellent for the price. The locking turrets are an excellent feature. Turrets are very tactile when unlocked, and provide a nice feel when adjusting. The internal elevation adjustment on these are fantastic, and the 6-24 in conjunction with the Burris XTR adjustable rings, I have something the almost the full 30 Mill adjustment. Tracking on mine have been excellent.
On the 6-24X56, I can watch certain 22 Bullets strike the target at 100 readily and I have seen the same phenomenon at farther distances in the right conditions.
Oh, and I almost forgot the Zero Stop. I find the Athlon to be far superior to others. I am able to set a 25 yard Zero stop, and then adjust my zero on the turrets for whatever I like. 50, 75, 100. It really doesn't matter. Athlon really has it thought out.
Athlon's warranty is top notch, other than you need to pay the shipping fee, but that is ok. They replaced my Gen 1 Helos that was having issues with the Gen 2 4-20 scope for free in the reticle that I love. If you are looking for a really nice scope for a competition 22 LR or a great general First Focal Plane Hunting scope, please consider this one.

I put this on my Ruger Precision and it is a great scope. Clear glass, great turrets and stays zeroed.
