King's uses a poly twill material for this anorak because this fabric meets the four key factors they wanted it to offer whitetail hunters. It generates less noise, provides extra mobility, has burr resistance, and it's long-lasting. However, this isn’t the only impressive feature of this jacket.  

Increased Warmth While Still Allowing for Ventilation 

The high-pile fleece reduces the layers needed to keep warm in below-freezing temperatures. The Coat's half-zip front and two side zippers trap in heat while allowing for ventilation. 

King's suggests wearing this jacket with a next-to-skin layer and mid-layer for optimal warmth. However, it will provide plenty of protection from the elements with just a next-to-skin layer underneath. 

An Outer Jacket Layer With Maximum Element Protection in Mind

To provide the needed protection an outer layer requires, the XKG Wind-Defender Anorak comes 100 percent windproof and treated with DWR so it can withstand light precipitation. It also has a full pass-through kangaroo pocket and a high-visibility hood with high-pile fleece, protecting your hands and head while allowing the hunter to scan their surroundings with ease.  

This outer layer also has a pass-through in the back for a safety harness strap. This feature allows those hunting from a treestand to wear the jacket over the harness.
