The Ares ETR Gen2 first focal plain rifle scope is loaded with features to take you long range shooting game to the next level. Comes with UHD glass that has extra low dispersion giving you an advantage with an image that has little or no chromatic fringe for the ultimate clearest and sharpest image. Ares ETR Gen2 also has the precision zero stop system that allows you to return to your initial zero position with a sharp and precise stop right at zero. No more bumping turrets with Athlons locking turrets that allow you to pull up on your turret to dial and push it back down to lock it in place.

ARES ETR GEN2 UHD 1-10x24

Ares ETR Gen2 UHD 1-10x24 is perfectly suited from close-range engagements to mid-range target shooting. The first focal place reticle is illuminated and is designed BDS style that functions like a red dot at 1X magnification. The illuminated center horseshoe is daylight-bright and extremely fast on target. When magnification increases, the BDC hashes become visible and indicate holds at 100-yard increments from 300-700 yards. There are also holdovers for wind at 5 and 10 mph.

So I have had quite a few of the Athlon optics . As Well as Vortex . So due to the price point I'll compare it between what I see threw my eyes.
Next to the Cronus BTR it's is almost as nice. The edge goes to the Cronus for glass and turret clicks but the ETR gets props for locking windage and reticle as the center dot works better for target shooting. No problems with any adjustments all were firm and good illumination. Next to the PST2 Ithe glass is crisper and still clear at full 30x so edge goes to ETR . Next to my gen 1 Razor Had the Razor has better glass but the 30x being crisp edged it out it out for the ability to zoom in on paper targets but if your never over 20 x I'd swing the other way but cost wise the ETR is a clear winner on.any rifle

This scope is amazing for the price point. Glass is better than my PST gen 2. The turrets feel much better than the Athlon Cronus or the Ares BTR. I dare say these are the best feeling turrets in the Athlon lineup. I dont think you will go wrong purchasing this scope. I am tempted to buy another.
