Ruger American Gen 2 Stock Weight Kit

This stock weight kit makes it quick and easy to add up to 1.6 lbs. of steel weights in the Ruger American Gen 2 Rifle stock. The weight and balance of the rifle can be tuned by installing weights in 4 oz. increments based on the shooters needs. Shifts the center-of-gravity rearward that counteracts heavy muzzle-end weights such as bipods, silencers, etc. and improves the rifles balance. It also reduces felt recoil and improves carrying comfort in the field.

Installation Instructions

Adding full 1.6 lbs. of weight in the stock of a 22" 6.5CM American Gen II rifle shifts the center of gravity 3" rearward. Adding full 1.6 lbs. of weight in the stock of a 22" 308 American Gen II rifle reduces free recoil velocity 16% resulting is less felt recoil.

Kit includes (6) 4o oz. coated steel weights in a tight-fitting molded case that allows shooters to add up to 1.6 lbs. of total weight to the butt of their rifle. The case installs into the stock of the American Gen 2 Rifle using simple tools and you do not have to make any permanent modifications to the rifle.

Good Product. I like that you can adjust weight to balance the rifle for different barrel lengths and muscle devices. I put all 6 weights in to tame recoil as much as possible for my 11 yr old. The design is well thought out. I had to drill the hole out one size to get the 45 degree holding screw to line up. Ruger did a good job with this rifle. Anarchy Outdoors did me a huge favor and FedEx'd out the weight kit same day to Alaska so I could install it in time prior to the hunt. My 11 yr old son landed a moose on his first big game hunt ever. Thank you Anarchy Outdoors for the prompt service and making sure this kit got sent out same day. I'll probably do the bolt handle upgrade next. I like the rifle.
