These bolts also have a Black Nitride finish option, which improves the operational capabilities of the handle by reducing wear and corrosion.

The threads accept any of our 5/16 X 24 TPI bolt knobs, which customers can select as an add-on at the time of purchase by selecting their choice from the drop-down menu above the Add to Cart button.

The bolt is great and a wonderful addition to the ruger American hunter. Take care with the firing pin disassembly. Turn things too far and the spring “fully” releases and it a booger to get it back right. Watch the video and do not over rotate the bolt spring

I purchased this bolt handle for aesthetic purposes because I put an m-lok chassis on my ruger american and thought it would look good. I did not expect it to make any difference in performance but I was surprised to find that it actually made the action of the bolt feel more controlled and smoother than before. With this upgraded handle and a new knob the bolt has better leverage and actually functions better than before.

Quality is superb. Fit was excellent. The additional length of the handle made the bolt work easier.

I knew I wanted to make some changes to my Ruger American, and the bolt knob was the first after seeing that AO had so many designed for the Ruger.
I noticed I had to replace my bolt handle and had a bit of regreg considering I have been training with that reach.
The added angle realy made things better.
Installing was easy, and the part seems well made. I have no fear that it will last the life of the rifle.
