The design of our Ruger Bolt Handles is the product of a vision of strength and durability. Our machined 416 Stainless Steel bolt handles offer optimal strength and utility. These bolts also have a Black Nitride finish option, which improves the operational capabilities of the handle by reducing wear and corrosion.

The threads accept any of our 5/16 X 24 TPI bolt knobs, which customers can select as an add-on at the time of purchase by selecting their choice from the drop-down menu above the Add to Cart button.

We recommend the curved version of the Ruger Precision and Ruger American Bolt Handle Upgrade brings the handle down and has a 20-degree angle, closer to the trigger. This improves bolt manipulation and keeps it close to the rifle to avoid snags.

If your looking for a more traditional feel to your Ruger rifle, the ambidextrous straight version may fit you better.

Installed on my Gen 6.5 CM RPR. Install made more complex given the Gen 3 redesign of the Firing Pin Back and the fact that the tool Ruger supplies doesn't exactly work with the new bolt design. All that said, the AO bolt and knob look amazing on the rifle and the difference in ergos is noticeable. Recommend!

Got this bolt handle with the tool for instal.
I 100% recommend it, watch the YouTube video and install in less than 5 minutes.

Works well already, confirmed zero along with a dragon scale bolt handle (short) and timney trigger installed at the same time and Magpul hunter stock are the best upgrades you can make to your Ruger American to make it a tack driver.
