AD Arms Billet Ruger Precision/American Rifle Cocking Piece

***This Pin Back is compatible with new Gen 2 American rifles***

*NOTE* This firing pin back is not compatible with RPR/American rimfire rifles.

This product is a billet RPR/American Firing Pin Back or cocking piece developed by AD Arms in response to the breakages many have experienced with the factory metal injection molded part. The design allows it to replace the factory part with ease.

This cocking piece is machined from a pre-hardened 4140 alloy billet. It is then nitrided for increased hardness, wear-resistance and corrosion protection. This fully-machined part will get the job done without risk of failure.

Furthermore, this firing pin back is lighter than the stock part. Because it is lighter, it increases lock-time performance while the hardness of the material decreases cocking effort.

Obviously a better engineered product than the factory part. Pretty easy to install after reading instructions and watching a couple YouTube videos. Watch out, keep your eye on that little roll pin, I lost the new one trying to install it, and had to use the old one. Works great. Seems to cock a bit smoother as well. Very happy with this product

  • Love this cocking piec. Makes the bolt cycle so much smoother!

Fit like a glove, was a little hard to get in. Woukd not recommend someone to get and install your self unless you have some skill and right tools. But it is well worth the price and does smooth up action.

  • Great on RPR

I have 2 of these, the one on my Ruger precisions in .223 and it was huge upgrade on my RPR. Bolt is way smoother and some how the trigger feels lighter, but did nothing on my Ruger American ranch AR mag style. Still worth the upgrade on it
