Side Tracking Folder Unit (STFU)

NOT COMPATABILE WITH AR STYLE RIFLES

Direct form Indian Creek, the 100% made in the USA STFU offers a rock solid lockup when in the deployed position with a dual precision bearing guided folding mechanism to allow you to fit your firearm in a fraction of the space it used to take.

The STFU can be oriented to fold to either side of the firearm and the hinge tension can be user adjusted to provide more or less retention, as desired, in the folded/stowed position. There is no "lock" on the retention side but it can be adjusted to require a significant level of force to deploy if so desired.

The STFU integrates perfectly with our MoFo Chassis system, but it can also be used on any firearm with an AR style carbine stock interface, with the exception of an AR itself as the AR buffer system will NOT work with the STFU. the STFU is equally at home on a tactical shotgun, or an Ak, or a precision rifle, anything using the carbine stock interface.

The STFU adds ~1.4-1.5" to the length of pull (LOP) to your buffer tube mounted buttstock arrangement but most quality buttstocks should be able to be collapsed enough to offset that increase in LOP so you are returned to the proper sizing set up while being able to fold the stock to store, transport, clean, or anything else you'd like to do with your firearm. Total weight of the STFU is 5 ounces. It is machined in our Nampa, Idaho manufacturing facility from 6061 T-6 aluminum with a black anodized finish.

Used with a PMACA chassis and Minimalist collapsible stock. Functions perfectly, no issues with fit or finish. Oiled threads and base on buffer tube / castle nut side to avoid stick-slip while torquing. Set screw is a nice feature so you don't have to try to put a full 40 ft-lbs on the nut.

Kind of wish there were notches to make for quicker alignment. But on the other hand, not having notches lets me fine tune the lean.

Function and stiffnes of the detents seem fine out of the box, haven't seen any need for tension adjustment yet. This folder is a little shorter and lighter than the German one, a bit lower profile. I'm completely satisfied with it so far.

I ordered 1 of these for 2 buffer tube rifles I have. They screwed right in and worked like a charm. The mechanism us VERY easy to use. A sturdy well built unit. Overpriced (IMHO) at normal price, but I got them on sale at $99 per. Highly recommended!
