This is how the bolt should look like, I'm able to get a firm grip and quickly cycle the action to load the next round. I wrote Ruger about this and they said that they would look into this part.

When I first got my rifle, I was turned off by the weird bob Ruger chose to put on this rifle. It was awkward to use as I had to lift it with my fingertips before I could cycle the bolt. BUT after installing the Spere bolt Knob, it improved using the bolt action 100% This is what Ruger should of used in the first place!!
