The Fluted Ruger Precision Rifle Bolt Shroud replacement is hands down the best RPR bolt shroud on the market. Made in house on a 5-axis Swiss lathe to exacting tolerances out of grade 5 (6al4v) titanium or Black Anodized Type 2 Class 3 Aluminum, it is the strongest shroud on the market. A bolt shroud made of titanium balances out the bolt weight and enhances the throw during bolt manipulation. The balanced weight increases the throw and speed of cycling the shell and reduces the possibility of binding.

NOTE: Magnum shrouds fit the following RPR calibers: .338 Lapua, .300 WM, and 300 PRC. Short action shrouds work with the following RPR calibers: .223, .308, 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5 PRC, 6mm, etc.
**In April 2021, Ruger updated its short action Ruger Precision Rifle design. If your short-action RPR firing pin has the newer design (left), you will need the NEW design in the Caliber drop-down. Compatible parts for the new design for the firing pin and cocking piece will come soon. (All Magnum aftermarket parts are still compatible with the Magnum RPR)**

Just what I needed
Perfect fit o n my .338, simple to install, looks great.
A huge improvement over the plastic shroud. -
Very solid and a huge upgrade for the better
This shroud (TI with no firing pin add on) is one soild piece of awesome. The cycling action is rock solid now over the factory option. My factory slide would catch and grab on the slide to lock motion before, it does not now. It is heavy as other comments stated but since I do not hunt with this rifle, that is ok. The rear is solid. You cannot purchase the firing pin and add it on later as a screw in option. But man oh man, it looks awesome now as one solid bolt all in TI now. The metal color was a almost perfect match to my bolt.

Titanium bolt shroud
First I will say I love the finish and extra weight that this shrouds adds. I use my RPR for PRS competitions so the extra weight of the shroud makes the action feel much smoother over the factory’s gen 3 shroud. I only gave it 4 stars because I feel it could have been too easy to make a small slot for the trigger tool to have fit but it was skipped. I would love to try the fluted version but it was not available at the time of my order. I best recommend to get the tool with shroud absolutely worth it!

Ruger Precision Rifle titanium bolt shroud
I've owned my RPR for a little while now and replaced the factory plastic shroud almost as soon as I got it with an LRI shroud. It was what at the time I thought was the best replacement for the crappy plastic one. Over time I did find some faults with the piece, it's too light weight and has a bit too loose of a tolerance and as a result it rattles. I found the titanium shroud here and finally ordered one. The weight difference is noticable instantly and when cycling balances the forward heavy bolt perfectly. The fit was very tight at first but with a few cycles and a little bit of oil on the contact surfaces of the bolt and bolt shroud it broke in perfectly and is smooth cycling. This shroud is near perfect for it's intended use, and what one would expect on a precision rifle.
